28)Sasaki and Miyano

Sasaki and Miyano

Genre: Yaoi, Slice of life

On a sweltering summer day, Yoshikazu Miyano’s issues begin when Shuumei Sasaki enters his life. Sasaki saves Miyano’s classmate from a gang of bullies, and Miyano is unable to escape his quirky upperclassman. Every time the so-called delinquent refuses to leave him alone, his mute respect for Sasaki turns to resentment.

Miyano wonders why Sasaki wants to be close to him when he is constantly called by sweet nicknames and has his boundaries ignored.

Miyano, who is shy and often angered, has a shameful secret: he is a “fudanshi,” or a boy who likes boys’ love (BL) comics. He doesn’t want other students to discover, so he tells Sasaki the truth through a slip of the tongue. Intriguingly, the naive Sasaki wants to borrow a book to read, which he grudgingly accepts.

Sasaki and Miyano is a fantastic choice for anyone interested in romantic anime and does an excellent job of avoiding many BL cliches, particularly the noncon trope (heavily criticizing the poor taste ‘joke’ in another review). In terms of manga adaptation, it does an excellent job of bringing to life the small nuances of the manga, making it one of the best slice of life anime.

6)Mushishi

best slice of life anime

Genre: Adventure, Fantasy, Slice of life, Supernatural, Mystery

The most basic life forms are “Mushi” in the world. They have no other goals or intentions; they simply “are.” They are not restricted by the ideas of “good” and “bad” anymore. Mushi are mutable animals that can imitate a wide range of natural phenomena, including diseases, vegetation, and even natural occurrences like rainbows.

As it would be an oversimplification to even call the beings who inhabit the dynamic world of Mushishi a type of life, this is merely a general description of them. It’s hard to find comprehensive information on Mushi because most people are unaware of their existence.

So what exactly are Mushi and why are they a thing? Ginko, a “Mushishi,” frequently wonders this question. Mushishi are persons who study Mushi in an effort to comprehend their position in the world’s order of existence. For the sole purpose of obtaining a solution, Ginko investigates rumors about incidents that might be connected to Mushi. After all, it might ultimately reveal the purpose of existence itself.

Our main character Ginko is the only genuine person with a past and development that are very deep and tragic, so if you are someone who wants to see a unique slice of life anime you should go with this one. The anime is highly unique, delivering both knowledge and life lessons to the audience.
